New Green Space Development to Raise Property Values in East End

Buffalo Bayou East

Buffalo Bayou Partnership, the non-profit behind the $58 million restoration of Buffalo Bayou Park, will soon be renovating yet another historical city landmark.

The new renovation project, Buffalo Bayou East, will consist of a 4-mile stretch of Buffalo Bayou from U.S. Highway 59 to the Port of Houston Basin. In its 20-year plan, the partnership will include the addition of 40 miles of new waterfront; 200 acres of parks and green spaces on land; and seven pedestrian bridges.

BBP also has plans to help preserve the culture of East End by providing local green spaces residents can enjoy.

Both residential and commercial developers believe Buffalo Bayou East will be the largest urban revitalization drive in Houston’s history –making it a prime location for real estate investors. Property values like Middle Street Lofts on The Bayou and Lofts on Commerce are expected to significantly increase with the new development being located less than a mile away.
